This is not night vision. I'm sure they want you to know that the picture is clear when the brake lights are on, but there's no night vision and no night vision lens to see in the dark. Relay to control the flickering and rotation of the image. Obviously it is not included in the scope of delivery and therefore has an additional cost. This is not mentioned in the instructions. I'm deducting 2 stars because it makes the advert inaccurate and misleading. Good. It shows 170 degrees of the image. I turned off the guides because they were distracting and used them as a permanent camera to watch the movement behind me. It helps with my blind spots on both sides. Please install it professionally. I tried cutting the white wire and the power went out and the guy at the audio store had to rewire it to get it working again. It's not a do-it-yourself project unless you really know what you're doing. I expect a basic camera and that's what I got to make it do its job. TO UPDATE! Jan 16 2019-16-16: Exactly days to a year after the rainstorm, the image has degraded to a grainy, blurry version of itself. I went ahead and ordered another one as this really has the BEST picture yet and the wiring is already in place. Luckily the same guy who did the wiring last time will replace it this time, shouldn't be a problem.
