I had a fairly heavy Yakima bike rack that didn't like sitting upright and has a rather odd shape that takes up a lot of floor space and bikes I wanted to hang up for the winter, and I was wondering if there was a way to get the receiver and mount it on the wall. This product does exactly that but also has places to mount the ball hitch and pins and hold everything together. This solved both of my garage storage problems - where to store the trunk *and* where to put the bikes. It feels solid, well-made, and very durable considering the bike rack alone weighs around 80 pounds or so. 12+ months later: still as strong as the day I installed it. Worth the investment.
