I have been using this product for 30 years. I've probably done at least 50+ brake jobs and never had a noise issue. It couldn't be easier to use. Simply apply a small amount to the back of the pads where the pads contact either the caliper or the caliper piston. Wait for the item to cure/dry and then assemble it. It doesn't take a lot of product to get the job done and you really don't want extra product on your brakes. It's hard to rate but I just had to replace mine by stepping on it and breaking a bottle. He was frail as he was over 10-15 years old. I've never had a problem with this product setting in the bottle and it will last you a long time. Also, make sure you buy a good quality disc brake caliper lube for the surfaces where the pads ride in the caliper, the caliper pins, etc. Some people even use this lube instead of this product as it can be found between the pads and calipers Also, the metal vibrates and causes squeaks, but this product dries out more and is less likely to pop out, so I think it's better to use.
