, I am not new to using mats and as any knitter will tell you there is never enough of them. This kit comes with several locking pins, which are my first go at locking a project in place. My other sets, the pens are in a case with foam covering the pens and they are arranged in a plastic box, they are easy to pierce, so take advantage of the leather provided as finger guards. Barrier mats are ineffective without gridlines, and they don't just have gridlines, they have circles! Depending on how you lay out the mats, this is a great way to ensure what you're blocking is even and level. They are good and thick and overall I am very satisfied. I wasn't surprised to see that they didn't match my other pads. I would be shocked if they were. I've found that when I need to pull out so many mats for a project, the best way to do it is to lay the mats back-to-back for the first row and pay attention to how you secure them.
