Review on 🎧 Cardo FRC4P001 FreeCom 4 Plus: 4-Way Black Bluetooth Communication System Headset for Motorcycles, Single Pack by Cameron Novak

This review is for Freecom4+. I see a few negative reviews about the audio quality of this unit, but either they didn't install it properly, had unrealistic expectations, or they need to see an audiologist right away. Let me preface this review by saying that I don't have very good hearing. Many years of noisy technology around me. If I say something sounds good, you can take it to the bank! I installed this unit in a modular helmet (Shark Evo One 2). I placed them just below the hollowed out pad, just above my ear. You have to put them directly on your ears or they will sound weak like any other small speaker. These are only 40mm drivers, they don't move much air. They're designed to pump right into your ears, and they do a great job of that. The sound is rich and clear with very good bass for a speaker of this size. At 60 mph on my Harley Road Glide at about half volume, I could hear my music perfectly. The full explosion was excruciatingly loud. In fact, I kept listening to Freecom through my great sounding Biketronics amp and speakers on my bike because it sounded so clear. It felt like I was in a studio. Note that on my Andriod phone, the phone's bluetooth volume is separate from the freakroom volume. Make sure your phone's Bluetooth volume is turned all the way up so you can send a strong signal to freecom. Then adjust the listening volume with the Freecom or Voice volume wheel. If you don't do it this way, you won't get good volume and you'll overload Freecom and drain more battery than necessary. Hands-free calling and noise canceling worked great. I called my wife at 50mph and she thought I was home. She heard no background noise at all. Natural language commands worked about 90% of the time, but I'm just getting used to the verbosity. I expect that to improve. Haven't tried connecting to another bike so can't comment on that. I do not need that. I only wanted it to make phone calls. However, when I enable this setting, I listen to music through Freecom. This is a good alternative to turning on my bike radio to block out all road noise.
