Review on Color Tree Universal Speedometer Windshield by Robert Morrison

I bought one when I have one and it's still working great in my 2008 G8 GT for the last 8 years. So when I bought a 2001 Silverado, I bought another. Installed, switched on and serviced. It turned off after about 30 seconds. He also turned off my radio and reset the clock on the radio to 1:00 am. I've tried installing it multiple times and almost always just got this result. Once or twice it fully booted up, allowing me access to various menus, but shortly after it shut down and restarted the radio in the process. I see the description says it will fit ALL POST 2004 OBD-II vehicles. My truck is 2001 but the OBD-II protocol hasn't changed between 2001 and 2004 and also one of them was installed on a 1999 GM. car and it worked fine so I don't know if it's defective or if it really doesn't work in my 2001 Silverado. I'll try installing it in another vehicle and if it works I'll either keep it for when my other one wears out over time (the sun kills EVERYTHING after all!) or just in case I have another vehicle get. Of course I think it's a good device, otherwise I wouldn't buy it at all or keep it for myself, although I'm really disappointed that it doesn't work in my truck. 4 stars because of my disappointment.
