The description says "Fitting together with a friction fit in under an hour using basic hand tools." Not part of this is true. It is not screwed, it is necessary to cut the fan housing. It can't be done in an hour. I restored the most complex engines and transmissions over the weekend, this air intake took about 4 hours. Just trying to get my knee into the bottom of the air intake took 20 minutes. I ended up having to use a hydraulic press to get it in. You will need to use a jigsaw to cut out the fan cover, I wouldn't consider this a simple hand tool. The instructions are fine, they didn't turn off the temp sensor on the bottom of the shroud. The images are very dark and difficult to see. After installing it seems to work fine. I used to have a Donaldson which is very similar to this air intake but was much easier to install and cheaper. I didn't notice any change in performance or sound compared to the Donaldson, I had to replace the Donaldson as it wasn't CARB registered and the smog guy who overlooked that pulled out. The Donaldson was very easy to install without cutting the fan cover.
