The price of this item seems high compared to alternatives but you have to consider the quantity per roll which for this product is about double the competition and the previous 3M pack, so straight line. That's a lot of product, maybe a lifetime supply for me, although I do a lot of amateur finishing work for myself. As for the product itself, it's hard to beat 3M for quality and performance, which usually justifies the higher price. I've tried several inexpensive alternatives to rolled sandpaper and in general the paper backing is much lighter, the glue is less effective and the abrasive isn't as good.
