My brother has an older set of these whips and has had good luck with them on his RZR for 2 years so I decided to try them on mine. His whips have an old style quick release buckle, but I can't find anything other than an 'improved' coil spring attachment on the Beatto these days. I decided to give them a try, ordered a kit and installed them into the factory rear fender holes on my rig. Everything was great in the garage. The lights are easy to install, have perfect flexibility, are very bright, have some really nice patterns, and the controls work well. However, when I rode the RZR, things took a turn for the worse. Less than a quarter mile on moderate to medium terrain, one of the whips caught on an electrical connection behind my RZR! The threaded section on top of the spring separated from the spring, allowing the whip to fly freely out of the mount. I couldn't see a single spot where a mechanical connection was made, or it just wasn't made. The spring is also underpowered, leaving the remaining whip almost flat on some rough sections of trail. Long story short, I made my own mounts with 3/8-24 flare nuts attached to the frame and am happy with the whips now. If Beattos still had the old style quick hitch they would be great whips and would probably get 5 stars from me. I've only had them on my car for a few hundred miles and always take them off when towing, so I don't know much about durability yet.
