Note: I am not affiliated with Falcon Eyes and was not paid to write this review. This model is a huge improvement over the RX-18TD that I also own. The actual color temperature of daylight is now very close to the 5600K setting on the controller and the light is truly neutral; as a measure with Sekonic 700 meters; no green/magenta distortion and high TLCI across the spectrum. The 3200K setting has similar color accuracy. There is some CRI loss at settings between 5600 and 3200, but this is true of all current bi-color LEDs on the market, regardless of price. The light output is about twice that of the RX-18 TD. Using FC softboxes, 18TD at 100% and 24TDX at 50% measured the same brightness in footcandles at a distance of 10 feet. The new packaging is also an improvement, particularly the new case and collapsible/foldable mount. I gave 4 stars because of the new control buttons, which I think could be damaged in the production process. Overall, I think this is a remarkably good option for your own flexible LED light, but it probably won't stand up to rental abuse.
