This jacket is just not wearable, at least not comfortable. There are so many Velcro fasteners that: a) they must always be completely closed. The velcro closure means you just can't unbutton or partially unbutton the jacket. Even if you don't zip it up, the velcro goes all the way up to your chin. There's no other possibility. b) If you want to use a hood you should have a very long/thin neck to make room for the extra velcro that you need to fasten around the already thick layer of velcro covering the neck from the body. Jacket (as mentioned above). My kid (a pretty average 6 year old) didn't even have the edges to close the hood because there were so many layers of fabric. c) All these Velcro fasteners are absolutely inflexible - in very large segments. and unreasonably fat. We returned it immediately, there was nothing remotely redeeming about this design.
