We bought this water shoe to take to Hawaii for use on a hot beach where the bottom was slippery or uneven underwater. The kids said they liked the fit, look and overall comfort but said the shoes get very heavy when wet and the sole is thin so walking is not that comfortable even for short distances as with normal shoes or their soft sandals. For example, they actually have rubber soles, while some brands have some sort of foam sole that slips easier when wet. Finally, I would have preferred a firm sole to protect the bottom of the foot, but the holes help with drainage.
