Amazing monitor!

I, like many others, hesitated to buy it! A few days ago I decided I wanted to buy a 27 inch monitor and the curved screen looked cool to me so I settled on the "upgraded" (big mistake) Samsung 27 inch curved monitor. Upon opening the box, I was dismayed to find that some materials were either missing or not in the packaging. The stand was fairly easy to assemble and I soon hooked it up to my Mac Pro Tower system running OS X Mojave. From the start the impression went downhill as the picture wasn't as bright and sharp. It only looked a little better after the recalibration, but I could live with that. But then I noticed an elephant in the room! There was an ugly light leak in the bottom right corner of the screen. In fact, it looked more like a damaged disk than a light leak. So now I'm angry and I call Revine who returned the money for the gift card after speaking to 2 representatives where upon receipt (2 hours) I immediately started looking at another monitor. I really couldn't afford anything over $200, so the Specter caught my eye. While the Revain's reviews were mostly good, I also saw some rave reviews on some high-tech websites, so the 27-inch Specter was ordered and it arrived about two hours ago. Here's my experience: 1. Revain was double boxed. and carefully packed (Samsung was NOT double boxed) 2. The monitor comes in its own colorful box, also carefully packed. 3. Accessories include labeled bags with screws, power adapter and cable + HDMI cable and booklet. There's also a cool magnetic screwdriver and cable management tools (very nice!) 5. It took less than three minutes to put everything on. Contrary to some reviewers, the stand attaches easily. detaches easily 7. Excellent build quality, doesn't feel or look cheap 8. Simple inputs: VGA, HDMI and power plug. 10. Fortunately, there were no burned pixels and no light leaks or bleeding. 11. The picture looked good, but not particularly bright. 12. After figuring out how to navigate the large configuration menu and make some adjustments, the monitor came alive with a sharp, bright and sharp picture.13. The text looks good; MUCH better than Samsung.14. Others have complained that it's not a bezel-less display. I believe that this problem is not a problem at all as it is very close to this reality. The rim is very small; hardly noticeable. at least not for me! Final Thoughts: This is a wonderful monitor and Scepter got it right! I am very happy with this purchase and really hope to continue to be a happy backpacker for the next few months!
