I dropped my Apple Watch 5 on hard tile in the bathroom and the entire edge of the face is cracked. Without AppleCare, the repair costs were almost the same as a new watch. I looked at many cases to hide the damage but they seemed bulky or prone to discoloration. So the material of this bumper protector (TPU) is great. It does not discolor and is tough. Other silicone screen protectors discolor and crack. Note, however, that TPU feels stiffer than the standard soft Apple Watch band or silicone.
