Review on ALONEFIRE SV003 10W 365Nm UV Flashlight Portable Rechargeable Blacklight For Pet Urine Detector, Resin Curing, Scorpion, Fishing, Minerals With Aluminum Case, Battery Charger, Battery Included by Pete Brown

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Probably not really 10W but that's okay.

For a cheap 18650 high output UV flashlight this is perfect. It lights up rocks, uranium glass, bathroom and kitchen stains, and much more even when saturated in visible light. I don't use the charger it came with, and the battery is mediocre. It does get a bit warm, but we know it was designed to. The output is misleadingly "dim." You'll notice the typical eerie blue glow from UV, but unlike longer wavelengths (ie:405nm) this does not appear violet and you cannot actually see the light. As another reviewer mentioned this thing doesn't actually put out 10W, however, that doesn't mean its not dangerous or low power. If you don't have safety glasses you should wear sunglasses that block UV. And always remember, inverse square law is your friend.

Pros
  • Can be used by professionals and hobbyists alike
Cons
  • The flashlight may require frequent recharging or replacement of batteries
