Review on Rounded Corner Umbrella Automatic Protection Construction by Chris Harrington

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It's a great looking and working umbrella, but it's very difficult to roll up! Read the review for details.

First of all, I really like the idea of the rounded corners. Nothing that would cause the puncture hazard of other types of umbrellas. In addition, the perimeter of the umbrella is covered with reflective material, making it easy to see at night. Second, the spring action when opening and closing is pretty good. The handle is large and comfortable to grip. The canopy opens to about 40 inches in diameter. It's great for one person, a little cramped for two. What I didn't like: Wrinkles! It is not easy. How to fold an umbrella. Every other umbrella I've had closes fairly easily by adjusting the folds, rolling it up and securing with a clasp or Velcro. But the material here is of course not suitable for folding. It takes some time to smooth out the creases in the material so that it folds neatly. Otherwise there will be many folds in the material, which can reduce the water resistance. It took me just over TWO MINUTES to fold it properly, not 20 seconds. with my favorite traditional umbrella (Leighton). Although there is a good case for storing the umbrella, you must be careful to roll up the umbrella tightly and neatly so that it fits. Considering the surface area of the umbrella, I expected it to be about 2 inches shorter when folded. Thus, it takes up more storage space than you would like. Even though the description says "light" I would rate it as moderate but hopefully that means quality materials. In terms of performance, the fabric appears to be coated. Water resistance is good, but it's not known how long it will last. Got my umbrella discounted for $11 so I would give it 4 stars for that price. But according to the price list it is 3 stars.
