I'm ashamed I didn't realize the price is for only one - at the price I expected for a pair. When I had to get a second one to match, the price really blew me away. I have leather seats and mine change over time; The donuts that hold the seat piece in place didn't stay in place for long, nor did the headrest piece or the clips under the seat, so just know that you'll need to make some adjustments from time to time; which of course is not the end of the world. They look nice and fit my 2009 Subaru very well, so they do the job of protecting my front seats and are quite comfortable.
