I bought this leash for 3 of our dogs. A Pomeranian (at this size, almost fully retracted), Sheltie/Cattle Dog mix. After 1.5 months: I noticed my pins getting stuck in the rubber part at the adjustment point. I tightened it and I seem to collect less hair in it now. My sheltie hair doesn't tangle even though the collar is larger. Collar for herding dogs is ok (also different size). Overall I love these! I bought this old style collar many years ago and was disappointed with the metal in the adjustment points. Now the metal (I'm guessing it's still metal) is rubber coated so there aren't any sharp edges. Do not use them as regular collars! Use only to store tags. Each such collar I have holds 2-5 pendants covered with a calm patch. (Quiet places are great too!)
