I blame myself for not getting one a year ago.
I could have saved myself a lot of heartache and hard work (wiping off spatter) if I had bought one of these blankets 20 years ago when I had my first MIG and started welding. Now I'm even thinking about getting a second, much smaller one for quick "cases" when I don't want to unfold the big one. A 4 x 6 foot blanket can feel a little bulky to cover certain areas. But I'll put up with the bulk in exchange for all the spatter and slag clinging to my other work and workplace.
