The ink seems fine, black, magenta and cyan are all recognized but yellow is not. I would recommend just getting the ink from Brother. It's a good idea, but the small difference in price doesn't make it worth buying a product that only partially works. If that's all you can afford, maybe give it a try, but keep in mind that not all of them may work.
