I just assembled this and my cat just used it without incident or protest. First the pros: - It's as beautiful as you'd hope. The modern look is great.- Made from quality materials. When it arrives, the crate is marked heavy, and it is. The panels for it are one-piece, beautifully painted on the sides and back, and a beautiful solid wooden door in front (I have a mocha color). Doors open and close with a wonderful click. You would be proud to have such furniture in your living room. Cons: - Despite the instructions, you cannot place the entrance on either side. It will only go to the left. The instructions show the connection to the input on the right, but no corresponding holes are drilled for this. I wanted it to be on the left so it wouldn't be a disadvantage but I was surprised at the technique as the directions were so wrong. Screw the head into the plate and connect the two sides together, it won't rotate enough. I've put together many, many DIY products and I know how they work. You don't have the satisfaction of giving it a good turn and feel like it's sagging. It might be a quarter turn that makes me think these things are gonna come out. So I'm a little wary of moving it too often. Overall it's spot on, beautiful and functional, and I love it. A little more attention to technology would have earned a fifth star.
