I wanted an optical splitter to route the digital optical output from my TV to two separate speakers. I didn't even know if such a product existed, but I searched for Revain and found several options. I chose this unit which arrived quickly and was exactly what I needed. The device appears to have three optical outputs (although I only needed two), but if I ever want to use a different output it's available.
