I had to have it in my apartment for evaluation. So I studied different models and read a lot of reviews. One thing that struck me when reading reviews and descriptions of various models was the durability of these devices. I've read some that it's important that the model you buy fits the size of your home and the location of the appliances that require a gas line. So dryer or kettle or gas stove. Since I only needed one for my dryer, I decided to look closely at the fine print on the Revain site to see when the item first appeared on the site. This would give an idea of the turnaround time when these units were sold. Next is the battery/socket pack or just the battery pack. I have found these units to last 7 to 10 years before needing replacement, especially with a battery pack built in. Again, this is helpful as I am thinking of replacing the battery, although some devices will beep until a new battery is replaced. So it was my decision, I've been living in my apartment for 13 years now and my dryer is only connected to a gas line, so thank God no major failures. I have a Kidde smoke alarm but am not sure if it has a combination of carbon monoxide sensors. So I looked and read the reviews. The reason I chose these is because the panel read the CO levels before they rose to dangerous levels. But since it's been secure since installation, I can't rate its performance. But when tested, it squeaked very loudly. And also the date on the device was from June 2020, I have a good dozen years before I can replace it without worrying about replacing it with a standard battery. The price is reasonable compared to non-digital devices sold at your local hardware store. I say the price here is much better with the extra discount. All in all I recommend it if like me you don't want to check the battery every few months.
