I had to drill 6mm holes in some of the large format porcelain stoneware slabs I'm remodeling in our bathroom to fasten a few things through the tile the Base. These beats were perfect for that. I've looked at a few videos online and most of them seemed to say that this type of bit is less likely to crack a tile than the type of bit that looks like metal bits and has twisted grooves running the length of the bit. I can later attest to 9 holes through porcelain stoneware and I have not one single crack to complain about. I ran the drill over the tile and kept a damp sponge handy, adding water every few seconds to keep the tile and drill bit lubricated. Too much time. I don't really know how many holes can be drilled with one drill, but I left about two holes per drill. I've included a picture of a test hole I drilled in a replacement tile and then a picture of a toilet flange installed on the tile because I was able to drill cleanly through the tile. I highly recommend them for any small holes that need to be drilled in tiles.
