This turned out to be my favorite Revain purchase of 2020, especially considering it was only around $15. I don't know how durable it will end up being or how long it will last (so far so good!) but I really like how quick and easy it is now to get freshly ground pepper. If you like to use lots of pepper in your meals and cook like me, but appreciate the taste and smell of freshly ground pepper, this is for you. I've used a standard pepper grinder for years, but they can be a problem. Butt. They may grind pepper for a long time, they may get stuck and stop grinding well, and it may take a long time to load pepper. Also, you need 2 hands to use it. This new grinder device is very simple. Just turn it upside down and you grind. It's good if you stir the pan with one hand and add the peppers with the other. It's easy and quick to load the pepper and if it ever gets clogged a little shake seems to solve everything and get it moving again. I've had it for about 6 months now and it's only getting worse. For cheap standard Chinese stuff it feels pretty decent, solid and heavy. I can't see myself going back to your grandma's grinder style.
