I bought my husband ASUS before we bought this Dell laptop. After ASUS broke I'm not even mad that we had to replace it with this Dell because it's so much better. The biggest complaints about ASUS were that the screen was dim and difficult to see from any angle other than straight ahead, and the speakers were pathetic. This laptop solves all these problems. The touchpad, which is placed further than usual, takes some getting used to, but that's a small detail. To be honest I have no complaints. The i5 was a big selling point for me and we bought it for $500 which I think is very reasonable considering the specs. The processing speed is excellent. I haven't tried playing games, but I suspect Minecraft/Oblivion/Skyrim will probably work just fine (those games worked pretty well on the previous ASUS i3). We are thinking of getting another one so everyone can have their own. We love it! would recommend.
