Improperly cured epoxy/resin - don't think it's safe

Ordered 2 pack about a month ago. I used one shortly after and only opened the other today. The first one I opened had weird pieces of white underneath that I had to peel off. I assume it was some kind of epoxy. It still has an odd smell and mold was growing under the bowl (I have no problem with mold in any other pool with litter and other paraphernalia we use) so I cleaned it again at dawn. It still smells funny and still feels soft, like an improperly cured resin. Opened another one as I need to set up a new tank for a new snake. This one is sticky. Again like a poorly cured resin. (I worked with resin many years ago) and the smell is just repulsive. I don't feel comfortable using them on our snakes so the two I ordered ended up in the bin.

Pros
  • One year sample
Cons
  • Not sure
