Based on reviews this product has worked for some and not so well for others but it turned out to be the perfect way to cook my favorite beans without having to brew a whole pot. And I was jealous that my husband could make his favorite one-cup coffee in no time. Tried locking the lid a couple of times, then two brew attempts, but half-brewed coffee spat out at me both times. And on the third try, the water trying to flow through the cup got stuck. Yes, the water is stuck. My husband came home to my disappointment. Here's what he found (we have Cuisinart): To make the most perfect freshly ground "My Favorite Bean" coffee in these disposable cups, read the instructions first. I know. (I don't always do this. Well, almost never.) Then when you try to open the lid of the filled filters, use your palm. It will burst and be sealed. Slightly fresh. Stuck Water Problem: Our manufacturer found that one "hit" wasn't enough to empty this filter in our car, so he kept hitting it 180 degrees. Puff. Five stars.
