Super great deterrent.
It won't deter anyone from stealing your bike because it's just thick plastic, but it's a great deterrent that will make a thief think twice and most likely make them move on to the next one. This is because it takes a while and is noisy to take it off, and they can damage the brake lever or throttle while trying to do it and then do it in such a way that they can't get it going. So it's not 100% safe, but better than nothing.
