To be more eco-friendly I was looking for a substitute for the everyday plastic bottles I carry around with me all day. It was hard to find a bottle that fit in my hand, cup holder, wallet and was dishwasher safe. Until I found these. They are the right size and very durable. I can't tell you the number of times I've dropped a lid on a tile floor and it hasn't broken. Initially, my only problem was washing the tops separately in the dishwasher. I haven't tried three yet. I rinse the tops in the colander when I take it out of the dishwasher to make sure they get a good rinse. No big deal to me. I also like that I can put ice on the bottom to keep the water or iced tea cold.
