I received this cake stand just in time for my son's 7th birthday. I've been thinking about buying a cake stand for over a year, but I didn't know if it was worth it or not. On the one hand I have five children and I bake cakes for all their birthdays at home. But on the other hand, the cake stand is still only used 5 times a year. When I saw this cake stand, I changed my mind. I really liked that it didn't look as dainty as the glass cake stands I usually see. I also liked that it had a more natural aesthetic with plywood - thought I could use it for a few things other than a cake stand. I have to say that I really like this cake stand. It was everything I had hoped for and more. The wood is beautiful, as is the marble. It is durable and easy to clean. It turns smoothly. My son's birthday cake looked great on it. I'm even using it as a bedside table for the second time while our mattress is on the floor during the renovation.
