Review on πŸ’§ Portable Alkaline Hydrogen Water Ionizer Stick by NewCell by Sean Pere

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not enough to recommend this stick as an alkalizing agent

The stick contains minerals and the ppm (parts per million) minerals in the water will increase over time. I tested my tap water, reverse osmosis water, and then reverse osmosis water after exiting the stick after a few hours. Tap, 75 pages per minute. R/O water, 3ppm R/O water after a few hours with a stick, 21ppm.o Minerals listed: Tourmaline Stone, Maifangshi Stone, Far Infrared Stone, Nano Silver Powder, Calcium Ion Stone - 13 minerals.2. The wand I have cannot raise the pH of my tap or tap water enough to be measured with the two rolls of pH paper I have. Both papers show that my water has a pH of less than 5. The stick cannot raise the pH of water to a range that can be measured with any pH paper. That may be why some people believe the stick didn't do anything. And I almost agree. See next point.3. I added enough baking soda to my R/O water to raise its pH to a range where both pH papers could get readings. The reviewer who said that ph-paper cannot be relied upon is correct. My oldest pH paper showed 6.0 and my newer paper with a narrower range showed 7.0. After 30 minutes, the pH increased by 0.2 and 0.4, respectively. This is not enough to recommend it as an alkalizing pen. However, I will buy it again.4. This is not a hydrogen wand like Dr. Hayashi. Therefore, it can be left in the water overnight without risk of damaging the wand. The hydrogen stick is constantly releasing hydrogen (when it's in the water you can see tiny bubbles coming out of the stick). The longer it is in the water, the faster the magnesium in the stick will be used up. Hence the warning not to leave it permanently in the water. I will buy a stick again. My R/O water tastes better. It's both smoother and not as flat. And I found that instead of trying to remember to drink water throughout the day, I found myself drinking more water naturally.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Hard to say
