Well built with the quality you would expect from Moroso.

I've been looking for an air/oil separator for a long time until I finally came across this product. Like most modern people, I have an electronic choke, or in other words, an electronic choke. Oil from my PCV system continued to foul my throttle body and worsen fuel economy/idle. Since I didn't want to remove and clean the throttle body every 6 months, I decided to look for an air/oil separator. I've noticed that there are many cheap aftermarket air/oil separators, especially on ebay. I originally bought one of the cheaper types and let me tell you this Moroso block is way better. The handling was top-notch, as was the finish. There was also an O-ring for the threaded connection. One thing that also makes the Moroso block stand out is that it has a baffle and steel mesh inside that helps capture more oil as air flows through it. Another nice thing is everything is there to install which makes installation easier and the on/off drain valve makes draining a lot easier. One thing to mention, be sure to use good teflon tape on all connections as you will be connecting the engine vacuum line to this. I initially mounted it on the engine as well, but the unit vibrated a lot because the engine vibrations were being transmitted through the bracket, so I ended up attaching it to the radiator bracket. I also cut off a piece of the hose that attaches to the bottle to connect it to the drain for easier draining of the unit when changing the oil.

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • Not automatic
