Recently bought a replacement for my old Roku. I have an Ultra that comes with a remote that listens to you. I personally don't want my remotes to listen to me, so I bought a basic Roku remote to replace it. It worked well enough, but was quite picky about exactly how I aimed it and didn't control my TV. So I tried this one. I love it! It's still an IR remote, so you kind of have to point it at the device, but it's more forgiving than a basic remote. The programming code for the Sony TVs didn't work with my old Bravia, but it was quick and easy to learn how to program manually using the TV remote. It now controls my TV's power, volume, and mute, and also controls the Roku device. Been using it for weeks, no problems.
