I bought this to use as the ATO for a Fluval EVO 13.5 offshore rig. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on an electronic ATO for this small tank and I didn't have room for it in my office. It was cheap and easy so I thought it might be worth a try. I had it on the tank for 2 weeks to fill up the 3rd chamber (return chamber) of the tank. It kept the water level constant and I could not detect any change in salinity (refractometer check). With a constant water level, the PS2 Protein Skimmer works more consistently without having to fiddle with micro-adjustments.
