Review on 🔒 Hollywood Racks Locking Hitch Pin Bolt & Security Cable Lock, Black, 1/2-13 TPI by Kyle Bonnell

In a previous review, a reviewer stated that he had a problem with the lock, the position of the lock on his car did not allow the key to be inserted, a condition that meant either the lock had to be cut open required or a receiver to remove it. I also set the blocking incorrectly and encountered the same problem as stated. After checking several options I decided to put a socket wrench on the bolt and see if the pin could be pulled out of the lock. With little resistance, the pin pulled out of the lock and could be removed from the coupler without damaging the lock. This effort, which only took 30 seconds, raises the issue of security as anyone with a wrench can remove the lock and pin with little effort, leaving the rack and its contents vulnerable and unsecured. The lock and pin hold the post snugly and provide minimal security, but in my experience I wouldn't trust them in all situations and assume a high level of security.
