Great design, not exactly reliable.

First of all I would like to say that the quality/material of this product is very good. It has sharp corners, looks attractive, is very minimalist and resembles an Apple product. I bought the space gray version and it fits my laptop perfectly. In terms of functionality, this product tends to fall short of my expectations. You would expect a $60 product to perform like a $60 product, but that's not always the case. First con: unreliability First, I'm the type of person who manages terabytes of information every now and then, for example my summer vacations that I've captured on a GoPro in 4K or all the photos/videos that I've taken throughout the year on my iPhone 6S made Plus to 128 GB, which also have a 4K resolution. There is a lot of important information I can't avoid and I'm sure many of you will understand that. First of all, be VERY CAREFUL when moving large amounts of data! Many times I've started moving 500GB of data to another hard drive and a slight movement of my laptop has interrupted the file transfer, disconnecting and reconnecting to both of my hard drives in a matter of seconds. Possibly a design flaw or a hardware issue. Who knows. All I know is that when transferring large amounts of data, you have to be EXTREMELY careful not to touch any of these peripherals. I'm not saying it happened multiple times. This has happened at least twice a month since I received the product last year. It got so bad I literally had to buy a wireless mouse to avoid interference. The second disadvantage: Swing. I understand that the peripherals do not have bottom support to perfectly stabilize them when connected to my laptop. But you can't make a product that wobbles to the point where you have to put something on the bottom so it doesn't look like it's going to break. Other peripherals didn't cause any problems for me. I know it's a big device, but it shouldn't move as much as it does now.
