I still use cassette tapes to record vinyl records that I can listen to in rooms without a player. Yes, I could stream, but a lot of people think albums have a certain sound quality that's hard to beat, which is why I'm still recording analogue to analogue here in 2021. The cartridges were great, especially towards the end of the era, around 2006, but Type II cartridges are no longer made and there are fewer and fewer new Type I tapes. These are the last to be made. Luckily, there are a few specialist manufacturers that continue to make Type I tapes, such as NAC, RTM, and FOX. But these Maxell UR tapes are great, make a good recording when done right.
