First of all I'm not a cook and I don't make my own dough often but this is a great rolling pin for me. It has a certain weight and rolls out various doughs well. I especially like the different rings you can use on the ends of the rolling pin to get an even thickness throughout the dough and gauge the desired thickness of the dough. Makes it easy to get the thickness you want without having to guess and do it over and over again. I think it should last for years and I highly recommend it.
