Prior to this ice cream maker, I have never been disappointed with Cuisinart products. I've had a little one for many years, have used it several times and have absolutely fallen in love. I'm pretty sure I made ice cream with a small ice cream cone at least once a week during the hot months (and sometimes cold months). I decided that I would like to make ice cream for a larger company, so I had no doubts that the big one would be different than the small one. Am I wrong? It just doesn't freeze well. Yes, it makes sloppy ice cream that you can store in containers and freeze ready, but for what? You can't eat a good custard like ice cream right after the promised 25 minutes it takes to make ice cream. Tried everything including moving the freezer to the patio when it was 37 degrees outside to see if it made a difference. Even folded ice cubes in plastic bags around the freezer to make sure the ice froze. Nothing worked. I will continue to use my small freezer and I love it but I couldn't be more disappointed with this Cuisinart product. I had to return it after it didn't freeze the first time.
