Review on ๐Ÿ’ก Go Power! GP-SW300-12: High-Efficiency Pure Sine Wave Inverter, 300 Watts, Yellow - Get Reliable Power On-The-Go! by Jamil Fog

Great device at a good price and a good seller.

Bought a Go Power GP-SW300-12 300W pure sine wave inverter through Revain from Renewable Energy Supplies. First, a quick word about the seller. They were delivered quickly at a competitive price and properly packaged for shipping as any seller would. But they were also good for situations you want to avoid if possible, namely when something goes wrong. Although all packaging was in good condition, the item arrived with a defective fan, leading me to believe it came from the factory. Renewable Energy Supplies promptly and happily shipped me a new inverter and a return label for the defective inverter, so we were all taken care of with very little downtime and no additional cost. I would definitely treat her again. Now to the device. I have previously purchased and used successfully the same Samlex branded device and it was also available under the Thor brand but each with different model numbers. So I now have some of these Go Power and Samlex units that I use regularly at multiple offline locations, with a tested/working spare in case of a breakdown. I have one, but it handles overloads much better. For example, I can control motorized things like a corded drill or a Wagner airbrush. In addition, it can withstand the load of two cordless power tool chargers rated for 1 hour of work at the same time. These chargers are notoriously finicky about sine wave quality, and this was the first 300w inverter I've had that could even run off a single charger. I suspect that the heavier weight of this inverter is actually due to its greater "electrical mass" (inductance for engineers and physicists), which is able to sustain a sinusoidal output voltage and current through the "peaky" load characteristics of the charger. Another reason I chose this inverter was the very low no-load current of 0.26 amps. That's about half the no-load current of several other 300-watt PSW inverters I've tested (some of which I've actually bought but regret) and you may need to dig into the manufacturer's specs to even get these to get number. If you need 24/7 power for lights etc in your off-grid home without fumbling with the main switch, you'll appreciate that the inverter won't drain your batteries even if you don't turn on the lights. And if you want, this inverter even has a connection for a remote controlled main switch, which most other 300W PSW inverters don't have. Also, I believe that besides the aforementioned ability to handle complex loads like chargers, low idle current is a sign of good circuitry, component selection, and manufacturing process. Another point: the fan only works when the inverter is warming up. under constant high stress. I can charge multiple phones as long as I have a laptop, a router, and some 9W LED bulbs and the fan doesn't even turn on. Calm! Okay one more thing I like that the power input is a plug so if the inverter fails I can replace it with a spare in seconds. If this product is ever discontinued I will be very disappointed if they don't come out with something like this or better. This is the only one you can get as far as I understand.
