Item exactly as described. This product uses the military time scale. The product can easily be adjusted for more or less feed during feeding. It is battery operated and has a built in battery indicator. Pay special attention to the feeding frequency setting, as the box on the far right of the digital display shows the number of feedings. The only downside to this product is the clamp. I have a 125 gallon tank and the clip barely fits the plastic rim on top of my tank. So far the product is working quite well and I have no complaints about installing the feeder while on holiday. A really great feature is that when the feeder goes through a feeding cycle, it retains a hole for food to exit the top of the feeder. This will prevent and prevent moisture from evaporating from your aquarium into the feed. After a week of holiday use, the unused fish food was free of lumps. I will be buying another one for my 20 gallon tank as I think it's a great product.
