I have a laptop but I use it on my desk when I'm not lying down. To charge, I had to constantly pull out the dresser to mount it on the wall. I didn't want a surge protector sticking out from behind the dresser. Being able to wall mount this surge protector was amazing. The laptop connects easily when I move it. I also have an external hard drive and if I leave it plugged in you can hear the drive spinning after the laptop turns off. It's pretty annoying, so with this surge protector, I just flip the switch on the surge protector and it turns everything off. This is exactly what I needed. It was easy to install but I didn't like the screws that came with it so I bought better screws to mount it and it holds up well on the wall. I plan to buy a computer desk at some point.
