Review on ☕️ Brentwood White 4-Cup Coffee Maker by Nicole Walker

Revainrating 5 out of 5

4 cups, one person - just right!

I bought the white version of this coffee maker in March 2019 so I've had it for 16 months now. He replaced another 4 cup maker that had a worn on/off switch that rendered it inoperable. So far so good with this Brentwood coffee maker. Something to do with my coffee maker. It's white, not lavender as some have complained. White. White plastic will stain over time. Someone else complained about her spots. Have you ever seen what coffee and tea do to your teeth? My other white coffee maker got pretty dirty over the years I've had it. Also black spots - they are simply not visible. My coffee machine leaked - or rather "spilled". I couldn't properly place the coffee basket in the machine, and to make matters worse, I didn't tighten the fuel cap tightly. The basket is installed in a specific way, and the lid must be closed as far as it will go, until the friction lock clicks into place. When I followed these steps the device NEVER leaked. If all else fails, follow the instructions. This is a 4 cup coffee maker. The industry standard is a 5 ounce cup, not an 8 ounce cup. Twenty ounces will fill the tank to the 4 cup mark - I measured it. You can put a MAXIMUM of 24 ounces in the tank and it will squeeze it. Also, the device leaks right through the hole under the hinge of the fuel cap. Filling to this level results in a very full carafe - I know that because that's how I do it. I also removed more than one overflow. Cable is thirty inches long. Not as long as some home appliances, but I can live with that. Another complaint was that the coffee wasn't hot enough. Unless you put half a pint of French Vanilla Cream in that 5-ounce mug. Remember that Big Brother's coffee temperature was regulated after some jerks spilled their car coffee on themselves and there were several lawsuits. Another complaint about this coffee maker was the plastic/chemical smell. Mine had it too. Most of these coffee makers seem to work, especially when they are made in China like this one. I think I spilled some vinegar through mine; that seems to help. Good luck finding an American coffee maker. If I could, you wouldn't be reading this. The coffee maker includes a measuring spoon and a permanent plastic mesh filter. I don't use any of them. In my case, I use a #2 paper cone filter. I just don't like these reusable filters - it's a personal choice. Overall, I love my Brentwood coffee maker. It makes what I consider a pretty good coffee, and fast enough. It's probably not suitable for two people unless you're content with an undersized cup of coffee. My only criticism of this unit is that it could have been taken apart a bit easier for cleaning. I can live with it.
