What doesn't work: SSD switch. I don't know how, but I can't turn on/off the SSD with the button. Not a big problem, just something I've encountered myself. Drive speed: SD card reader (microSD could not be checked as I don't have a card) is limited to 100 Mbit/s. I have a 160Mbps card so there is a small bottleneck in the card reader. M.2 (I used a 512GB WD Blue 3D) is limited to a maximum read/write speed of around 350Mbps, which isn't the full 5Gbps you would see with regular SATA. USB enclosure, but still not that bad. Charging: Bypass 100W no problem. I don't know if this will work with the proprietary "130W" standard that Dell uses for their XPS. HDMI 4k30hz. As someone who has a 4k monitor, this isn't great, but I expect most of the situations I'll run into using this key extensively won't involve a 4k monitor. In addition, it has built-in memory. Thermal performance of the SSD wasn't an issue, and the lid is held in place by a fairly powerful magnet, while the drive is held in place by a screw. They come with a carrying case and a small screwdriver, but it would be better if it came without tools. In general it works very well. Of course, you won't get the full speed of your SSD, but it's great to have removable storage in a USB stick. Although it's quite big. That's about the length of an iPhone 8, so keep that in mind.
