I drink coffee every day. This product saved me from warm coffee. It does a good job of keeping my coffee hot. But I'm more interested in its heating ability, so I spent a few hours trying to figure it out. I decided to find the difference between using a lid and not using one. Water temperature starts at 71.6°F1.15 min. 82.2°F (with lid). 81.7F (without lid) 2.30 min 100.8F (with lid) 99.1F (without lid) 3.45 min 110.5F (with lid) 107.6F (without lid) 4.60 min 118.2F (with lid) 114F (without lid) 5.75 min 124F (with lid) 118.6F (without lid) 6.90 min 128.7F (with lid) 121F (without lid) 7.105 min 132.3F (with lid) 122.5F (without lid ) 8.120 min 135.1F (with lid) 125F (without lid) Result: Maximum temperature for cup with lid 150.8 F Maximum temperature for cup without lid 131.2 F Temperature 131.2 F is hot enough for me.
