Review on Wi-Fi adapter D-link DWA-140, black by Adam uciuk ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I definitely recommend buying, I didnt notice any disadvantages.

Everything described below is for a stationarycomputer with an Internetcomnnection and Windows XP. seven on the laptop. I recently took it to provide myself (a laptop) with an Internet from a stationarycomputer, atoms at home will sit down and my hand does not rise :) So, as described in the reviews, download the file from the realinka site . Php? sn=500 first in the list, it also says the following: USB (RT2870/RT2770/RT307X/RT2070 RT357X/RT3370/RT8070/RT537X) Next, we install it on a stationarycomputer (I have XP), when it is installed, we plug in a wifi whistle, then when the whistle is determined, we right-click on the icon near the clock below with the realinka logo and select the inscription "switch to AP access point mode" there, in fact, when everything passes you will have an access point (not password-protected) and without an Internet. What we do next - in the window that appears, click "AP settings" with the arrows to the right and set the authentication (I chose the latter), AES encryption and then the arrow and set the password. - now our access point is password-protected, but again without an Internet. Wecomnnect the laptop as usual to the Wi-Finetwork - there are no differences between our access point and some other . On a stationarycomputer, we share the Internet for an access point - the easiest way to do this is through thenetwork setup wizard. (Start-Control Panel-Network Setup Wizard) we start answering simple questions and voila, the Internet appears on our laptop. :) Regarding the N mode - innetworkcomnnections, right-click on the Wi-Fi whistle - properties - general - the name of the adapter is written on the top and thecomnfigure button on the right - click there - additionally, select the 8022022n directcomnnection mode andcomrrect it in the window on the right to enable! I think it's easier and morecomrrect than editing the registry by hand! :) Use!

Pros
  • Small - you can always take it with you and provide yourself with a waffle from a stationary computer.
Cons
  • until you understand
