Economical but requires thorough cleaning
This is an inexpensive way to replace the ammonia filters in your tank if you don't mind just cutting the material to size. BUT, note that you must rinse the pad thoroughly before use. I made the mistake of not rinsing well which caused a cloud of tiny particles to form in my aquarium. To be on the safe side, we recommend soaking the pad for a few hours before use.
