Review on Fluval ClearMax Phosphate Remover: 100g Nylon Bags, 3-Pack, A1348 for Crystal Clear Aquariums by Kristina Fleming

I've dabbled in bacterial seeding and worked patiently to rebuild my aquarium. I often check the water to make sure my fish friends are safe to restore balance. I'm almost back to normal but the aquarium is still as crystal clear as before. I was so excited to read the reviews and see that this product works. I put it in a filter before going to work and returned home after 11 hours and all but 2 of my 7 fish ended up belly up in the tank! I was supposed to take a picture but I was just so shocked and horrified! The rest of the fish looked lethargic, barely holding on. I quickly moved her to a smaller tank in hopes of saving her. I couldn't understand what had happened and wondered if there was anything I should do before I put this medium in the filter. I looked at Revain reviews because sometimes you can get really valuable information from others. I saw a review that mentioned elevated nitrate levels. I immediately tested the water in my tank and it rose to the HIGHEST unsafe level of nitrates! I was so excited 😡 How can something designed to provide your fish with the perfect habitat be so deadly? Luckily my 2 remaining fish seem to be recovering and I started Seachem (the best!) to bring the levels back to normal in a large tank before using them again. I hope people read this review and think twice before using this product!
