Cheap easy repair fits spares

Seems to fit my Samsung dryer perfectly. I've been working on this for a couple of weeks, probably only about 30 hours, no problem. I wasn't sure if I would use a pulley but I bought the kit as the belt alone costs almost the same. I'm glad I did because after pulling out the old pulley, the new one is clearly in better condition and slightly better in design. There are some great videos on the web that describe how to disassemble and reassemble the dryer so it's not difficult although there is very little disassembly. The repair took about 90 minutes total plus the time I spent cleaning the inside of the dryer and replacing the tape on the exhaust pipes which are worn out and allow exhaust fumes and lint to get in and on the heater. (Not surprisingly, it often smelled like burnt hair.) The hardest part was putting the strap back on. The pulley has a tension spring whether you use what you have or replace it. From the videos I've watched this step seems easy, but you must do it with the drum in place and just enough room for one hand to reach under and to the back of the dryer to then press the Keep pulley under heavy tension and stretch . Straps in the correct configuration. I'm tall, long-armed and very strong. I'm not sure most people can handle this part of the task, but for the money you'll save paying someone else, it's worth a try. Another tip: When reinstalling the drum, make sure the side with the pink tape is facing backwards. Whoever last serviced my dryer put it in upside down. I wondered why every load was knotted. No longer!
